Research Around the World

I looked at the Australians web site. I found that on international base the research topics are the same as ours. They are concerned with child development and their well-being. The insight that I have gained is the different programs they offer for the children and families. They have one program in particular that caught my interest and it is called Everyday Living series, which speaks about have a positive learning environment for the children and other suggestion for the families to stay healthy and positive. It is very healthy as a professional to be aware of the issues that other countries face and how they are handled. I enjoyed the adventure of looking at the Australian life style. Reference Early Childhood Australia: This is the Australian equivalent to the U.S. based NAEYC. You can access several links to early childhood research from the menu on the left side of the home page.

  1. Sandra,
It is funny; I also chose to view the Early Childhood Australia website. I say this because it seems like everyone who has posted on the blogs, did the same site. I personally love this site because; it has helped me recognize children who are gifted. In my field, I have seen children who are very smart, but I did not know how to recognize exceptional abilities. This was one of my favorite sections of the site. In your post, I noticed you especially like the “Everyday Living series, which speaks about having a positive learning environment for the children and other suggestion for the families to stay healthy and positive.” This is very interesting; I did not view this section while I was researching the site. You have shown me something that is important in our field; this information will help me as an educator. Thanks, I enjoyed reading your post.
